Colorado Homes and Real Estate News

The Rocky Mountain State leader in manufacturing, Colorado is also a major agricultural and mining state. And, of course, Colorado has become known as a skier's and recreational enthusiasts' paradise. Colorado is the highest state and has more mountains reaching 14,000 feet than any other state. "Grand Mesa," the world's largest flat-top plateau, is also found in Colorado. Colorado is a center for vacationers taking advantage of the pleasant summer climate and the ample supplies of powdered snow in the winter. Colorado's largest cities are Denver, Colorado Springs, Aurora, Lakewood, Ft. Collins, Pueblo, Arvada, Westminster, Boulder and Thorton. The total population of the state is in excess of 4.3 million covering its more than 100,000 square miles. Thanks to a wide variety of housing types and home prices, a strong economy and excellent quality of life, the state's population grew by 30% between 1990 and 2000. Every day more and more people are calling Colorado home.
